Mid-Twentieth Century Nursing Uniform
This Page Highlights a Component of the 50th Anniversary Nursing Department Exhibition.
Treatment performed at: University of Delaware
Overseen by Conservator: Vicki Cassman
Uniform of a registered, American nurse dating to the 1950s; required a water bath with a mild surfactant to reduce grime, yellowing, and creases
This treatment was performed in a group for the benefit of a class of undergraduate art conservation students. The treatment was also performed in preparation for the display of nursing-related objects in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the University of Delaware Nursing Department.
